Police appeal for witnesses after assault in Willingdon

Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault on a 73-year-old man in Willingdon at 6.20am on Thursday (June 26).

Police said the victim was walking his two dogs along Seven Sisters Road, when a man known to him allegedly pushed him over. He was shaken but was not hurt.The suspect then allegedly drove away in a red car, police said.

A 31-year-old man, from Eastbourne, was arrested on suspicion of assault. He was questioned and bailed until Sunday July 13.
