Police are appealing for witnesses after jewellery valued at around £10,000 was taken from a home in Forest Row while the owners were away on holiday.
Police said sometime between March 27 and April 10 the five-bedroom detached house in its own grounds in Forest Road, Forest Row, was broken into and a small safe containing the 16 pieces of jewellery was forced off the wall of a cupboard and taken away.
Detective Constable Gary Baker of the East Sussex Priority Crime Team said; “If you were in or around Forest Road during that period and saw anything suspicious, we would like to hear from you.
“We would also like to hear from anyone who is offered the jewellery.
