The Pells Pool in Lewes welcomes people for the first swim of the year at noon tomorrow (Saturday) – and is keeping ticket prices fixed for the fourth year running.
Phil Ransley, Pool Manager, said: “We are delighted to be able to keep our prices fixed once again – so we can offer great value for money to people coming to swim and sunbathe at the pool. Our kids’ ticket price has stayed at £2 a day for even longer – since 2004.”
People have already been ordering season tickets – which cost £68 for an adult, £39 for children or £152 for a family of four (two adults and two children).
Phil continued: “The kids’ season ticket works out at just 33p a day over the 120 days that we’ll be open in 2014. That can’t be bad! We are also keeping our popular happy hour price after 6pm, for those who want to enjoy a swim after work.”
Volunteers Weekend on May 3 and 4 attracted dozens to help get the pool ready for its 2014 season. Phil added: “We run the pool on behalf of the community, but the help we get from volunteers is vital in maintaining and supporting the Pells for the future.”
Season ticket application forms are on the Pells website www.pellspool.org.uk or can be picked up at the pool.
