A school summer fair will raise money for sun canopies to provide shade in the playground.
Seaford Primary School PTA is organising the event which will take place on Saturday June 14 from 12noon to 3.30pm on the school grounds in Wilkinson Way.
The fair will open at 12 noon with a circus procession including children, clubs and a samba band.
PTA chair Carol Edwards said: “It is an opportunity for the school community to welcome visitors and to share in our fun and excitement, whilst at the same time raising funds for the school.
“All funds raised will go towards the cost of new sun canopies providing much needed shade on the playground.”
The procession will start at the top of Wilkinson Way and the children will walk to the school grounds.
Afterwards there will be performances from talent show winners.
Attractions at the fair will include kids’ quad bikes, giant inflatable slide, bouncy castle and circus workshops.
There will be stalls selling toys, plants and gifts, as well as traditional stalls such as crockery smashing, hook-a-duck and a coconut shy.
And there will be tombolas and a grand raffle with prizes donated by businesses and attractions, as well as a children’s craft area, face painting and a water play area.
Visitors can enjoy a barbecue, Pimms, lager, hot and cold drinks, candy floss and ice cream.
There will also be displays from local dance clubs, Seaford Musical Theatre Juniors, Sama Karate, Julie’s Art of Noise and live music from Shana Edwards.
