Hailsham Town Council is inviting residents to attend this year’s annual town meeting which takes place at the Civic Community Hall in Vicarage Lane on Thursday (April 24).
The main part of the meeting will start at 7.30pm, including a presentation and review of the past year by the town mayor and chairman, Cllr Jo Bentley.
Prior to the main residents’ meeting there will be an opportunity for residents to view a number of information stands from different organisations including Hailsham Forward, where residents will be able to talk to representatives from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.
The meeting will be an opportunity for residents to participate in a discussion on some projects the town council and its project partners have for the future development of Hailsham, and raise questions on matters affecting the parish of Hailsham.
Town clerk John Harrison said: “The meeting is a chance for residents to meet with councillors and raise any issues, no matter how large or small. And by working together we can hopefully resolve them and help make Hailsham an even better place to live, work and visit.”
Cllr Bentley said: “You may address the meeting and raise any issues for the town you feel should be considered for the future. So come along, meet the people who represent your views and tell them how well you think they are doing. This is your meeting and your opportunity to discuss issues regarding Hailsham which concern you.”
If members of the public wish to submit a question or item for the agenda contact the town clerk in writing at Town Council Offices, Market Street, Hailsham or email firstname.lastname@example.org by no later than Tuesday (April 22).
