A special event will be held on Saturday July 12 at Harbour Primary and Infant School in Newhaven as they say goodbye to the Western Road site.
The school will hold a Farewell event from 10am to 12.30pm where it is inviting former staff and families to say goodbye to the building.
Head teacher Christine Terrey said: “We will be opening our building for tours and coffee, tea and cake so that people can revisit and remember past times.
“The event itself is basically like an open house - but instead an open school.
“Families past and present are welcome to come along to tour and rekindle memories and meet others.
“There will be memorabilia and photos on display.”
The Western Road site is closing on Friday July 18.
Children and staff will relocate to the site in Church Hill, where a new building is currently under construction.
The school on the Western Road site first opened in 1970. It is not yet known what it will be used for.
Christine added: “I am absolutely thrilled with the new building which is completely on schedule and will be ready for us in September when we return from our summer break.
“I have regular site tours and we have developed an excellent relationship with the builders who have been involved with our children in many ways.
“For example helping us to bury a time capsule, coming in to help with science lessons about materials and forces and running competitions.”
