The next Seaford Food Swap will be held on Saturday July 26 at Seaford Community Garden in Crouch Gardens.
Organisers said they were pleased with how the most recent food swap went, which was held at The Old Boot Inn on Saturday April 26.
Tables were filled with a variety of home grown, brewed and baked treats and newcomers were helped by old hands to guide them through the proceedings.
Organisers Adele Walshe and Di Moreton said: “We learnt lessons from our first swap so we were able to relax and enjoy the event more this time. We have had opportunities to taste new foods and engage with the community.”
During the morning, food was sampled, recipes exchanged and friendships made.
Guests evaluated their items and made swaps with others, such as a bottle of cider for a jar of chutney, a sourdough loaf for a rainbow trout. No money at all changes hands.
