A coastal walk from Seaford to Telscombe will raise money for a good cause and takes place tomorrow (Saturday September 6).
The sponsored walk is 10k long and will support the Stand Up For Leisha Campaign.
Leisha, 13, from Telscombe, has cerebral palsy and needs a new wheelchair.
It will help her to stand up and take part in school activities, as well as live a more independent life.
The walk will begin at the Salts Recreation Ground and finish at Telscombe Tye.
Mayors from coastal towns along the way will join the walk, as will Leisha and her family.
It will finish at Telscombe Tye in time for the town’s annual fireworks display.
Telscombe mayor Wayne Botting has been holding a series of fundraising events in support of Leisha’s wheelchair.
Cllr Botting is hoping to raise a total of £8,000 towards the wheelchair, which costs £21,000.
A Just Giving page was set up by the town council to raise money for Leisha.
There is also a Facebook page where you can find out more about the campaign.
To support the campaign or register to undertake the sponsored walk ring Telscombe Town Council on 01273 589777.
