Student dies in collision on A27 in Falmer

Police appeal

A 21-year-old man has died after being hit by a car on the A27 at Falmer.

On Saturday (July 5) at around 1.15am, emergency services were called to a collision on the eastbound A27 between a car and a pedestrian.

The man, believed to be a student from America, was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital but sadly died on Sunday afternoon (July 6).

PC Kelly Newton said: “We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the pedestrian leading up to it to contact police on 101 or email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting Operation Telemark.”
