An organisation which aims to make the lives of carers and disabled people in Peacehaven better is staging a free event to inform residents about the Big Park and clubs in the town.
Peacehaven Area Accessibility Group said The One Show on Wednesday May 28, would bring together an archery group, exercise taster sessions, stopping smoking and various clubs to help residents to meet new people.
It will take place in the Main Hall and Foyer in the Meridian Centre in Meridian Way from 10am to 2pm.
There will also be free face painting, a free raffle, information on coach trips and eating well,
Organisations will be able to provide advice on housing issues, dementia, diet and home help.
The event will be suitable for all ages and all abilities so everyone is welcome to attend.
Tea, coffee, freshly made sandwiches and cakes will be available at the event throughout the day.
Access officer at Lewes District Council, Sue Dunkley said: “The Peacehaven Area Accessibility Group is a group of local residents who are either disabled people, carers or town councillors, who meet to look at local issues especially of interest to people with disabilities.
“They decided they wished to put on an information event to try and improve the lives of people within the town by making them better informed about groups and services that exist within the town.”
Organisers said since it was half term there would be free face painting for children and a free raffle, with some great prizes and a free sunflower for kids.
