Thinking pink raises more than £1,000 for charity

A Bishopstone woman, aged 55, is well on track to raising more than £1,000 for the Progressive Supranuclear Palsy Association after dying her pink.

Liz Holland decided to take the plunge after her mother in law suffered with the terminal brain disease.

She visited Salon 19 in Seaford on Saturday March 1 to have her hair coloured.

Liz said: “I kept thinking: why oh why am I doing this?’

“But each time I would think of my poor mother in law Berni Holland and I would think no it’s worth it.”

“If only we knew something about PSP when Berni was diagnosed instead of doing our own research into a disease that we knew nothing about. If I have helped just one family for when one of their loved ones is diagnosed and they remember the lady with pink hair and all she told them about this terrible disease, then it will all be worth it.”
