Three taken to hospital after collision in Hailsham

A man had to be cut freefrom a van after a two vehicle collision in Hailsham on Monday morning (August 11).

The incident happened just before 9am in Hawkswood Road.

One man in his 20s was trapped in his vehicle after the door failed to open, an ambulance spokesman said.

He was released and taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton with lower back pain and hip pain.

A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said a second man in his 40s was taken to the same hospital with neck pain. 
A woman was taken to the Conquest Hospital in Hastings.
