The annual Hastings Town and Country Show returns to Alexandra Park next month.
The event this year takes place on Saturday, August 16 and Sunday, August 17, from 10am to 5pm.
Highlights include children’s entertainment with traditional Punch & Judy, Working Dogs with John Cavana, children’s farm, as well as ferret racing, Newfoundland dog displays, Totally Terriers, and birds of prey flying displays.
On the Sunday the Companion Dog Show takes place with all proceeds from entries going to Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Visitors can also try out stick furniture making, as well as pole latheing skills and sample and buy in the arts, crafts and gifts marquees.
Emma Owen, director of organisers Oakleigh Fairs, said: “Now in its sixth year, we are really looking forward to returning to Alexandra Park over this new date in August, right in the middle of the summer holidays. It’s just the perfect setting for a family-based event, just a stroll or a bike ride from the town centre, with the stunning park itself providing the a lovely backdrop to what will be, once again a super weekend, offering the chance for families to relax and enjoy a really good day-out.”
There will be a licensed bar featuring plenty of real ale and Scrumpy.
Entry to the show is £5 or £4 concessionary rates. Children get in for £2.
