Hailsham Street Market organisers are looking for existing and aspiring local traders to sell their wares at its forthcoming Children’s Theme Market.
Organisers will be allowing for up to 20 stalls to pitch up at a one-off special market which will take place in Vicarage Field on August 21 from 10am to 2pm.
Traders selling gifts, toys, crafts, confectionery, clothing and accessories are invited to reserve a pitch at the market. A number of traders have confirmed attendance at the market already, including those selling ice cream, sweets and fudge, doughnuts, popcorn, candy floss, cupcakes and books. There will also be a stall offering free face painting to visitors and another offering craft kits for sale and also to make on the day. Pitches for the Children’s Theme Market are limited and those wishing to trade at the event are advised to book as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
Hailsham Town Council’s business enterprise manager, Mickey Caira said: “The Market is an opportunity for young stall traders looking to make the break into selling products locally, as well as more established sellers. It is hoped that there will be a wide range of goods on offer. Providing street markets – both regular and one-off/themed - is fundamental to the revitalisation of our town centre and the secret to a successful market is getting good level quality produce and a broad range of traders, which is what we have already achieved with our regular Hailsham Street Market which takes place three times a month.”
The cost of a pitch and each 3m x 3m gazebo stall is £25 per day. If you are interested call 01323 841702 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
