Uckfield based companies Final Score and Uckfield Framing Company are to join forces to provide a framed Lawrence Dallaglio signed England shirt for a charity auction to help raise funds for a 17-year-old’s battle with cancer.
Maddy Oliver, from East Grinstead but now based in the US, was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in her hip last year.
Tim Benians said: “Unfortunately her family’s insurance does not cover the cost of her treatment so ‘Maddy’s Dayz’ was set up to help them pay for it.”
Owner of Final Score Stephen Holliday said he has been waiting for an opportunity like this.
He said: “I’m delighted I have been able to donate to such a worthy cause.
“I hope the funds raised will help Maddy towards a speedy recovery.
“My son underwent treatment for bone cancer some years ago so this appeal struck a chord with me.
“I quite understand what the family must be going through.”
Uckfield Framing Company donated the frame to Maddy’s cause.
Other prizes donated for the auction taking place at 7pm on March 8 at East Court, East Grinstead include a Maclaren polo shirt signed by Jensen Button, a self-catering family holiday in Sussex and paintings by local artists.
