The opening day of Reds Indoor Market in Newhaven was a great success with a total of 15 stalls.
Market founder Peter Blakey-Novis said the response from the public was very positive.
It was officially opened by the mayor of Newhaven Judith Ost on Wednesday June 4.
Peter said: “The response from the public was great, all very positive. We were very busy the whole time that we were open. We have had some fab reviews on our facebook page already.”
Products on offer at the market in Riverside Hall, in West Quay, included exotic meats and savoury foods, designer cupcakes and nail technician services.
There were potted plants, flowers, vintage gifts, furniture and nappy cakes and embroidered crafts, as well as bronze jewellery and trinket boxes.
Jewellery featuring semi-precious stones, home made bath bombs and make-up and home sewn children’s wear and dresses were on offer too.
There was also home made fudge, retro sweet cones, sherbert test tubes and jewellery, greetings cards and nautical themed home ware.
The market will run from 10am to 2pm every Wednesday.
