An artist is being sought to create a window in four panels at Newhaven’s state of the art £1.6m library.

East Sussex County Council has funding for the scheme from the Arts Council.

The window will overlook the bus stop and car park at the back of the building.

Artists will submit five images of previous, relevant work and write a statement of no more than 500 words detailing previous experience.

They will also need to include ideas for the window and information on how the process will be shared with the community.

Deadline for submissions is Sunday September 7. Visit www.eastsussex.gov.uk/leisureandtourism/arts/transparent/public-art-project-transparent.htm to apply.

Installation will be complete in 2015.
