Police are appealing for witnesses after a four-year-old boy was in collision with a car in Lower Dicker.

The boy was crossing the A22 just west of the Boship roundabout shortly before 8am on Monday (June 2) with his mother who also had a pushchair and another child with her when he was in collision with a silver Toyota Yaris close to Metamorphosis Interiors, police said.

He suffered a fractured collarbone and was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton for treatment.

PC Stuart Kenway said police are trying to find people who saw anything or saw the car being driven beforehand.

Witnesses call 101 quoting serial 171 of 2/6 or collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk.
