Woman bitten by dog in Lewes

Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was bitten by a dog outside Aldi in Lewes.

At about 3.50pm on Sunday July 13 the 39-year old local woman was bitten on the foot whilst outside the store by a small ginger/brown terrier-type dog which was secured on a lead outside the store.

She did not require medical treatment.

A man and woman who had the dog took it away in a van and enquiries are being made to trace them.

PC Claire Courtnage said: “The owners of the dog and anyone who witnessed the incident are asked to contact us via 101 or email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial 1284 of 13/7.”
