Sussex Police officers, staff, volunteers, partners and members of the public were commended at this year’s ceremony for displaying courage, compassion and professionalism.
Divisional Congratulations were presented to 43 officers, 12 police staff, three volunteers and seven members of the public at the ceremony at Uckfield on November 11.
Chief Constable Commendations were presented to 26 officers, two police staff and five partner agency staff.
The awards celebrated courage, outstanding service delivery, risking personal injury to save individuals from immediate harm, excellent leadership and communication skills, exceptional investigation and the dedication of volunteers for their long service.
The award winners were supported by Deputy Chief Constable Olivia Pinkney, HM Lord Lieutenant Peter Field, High Sheriff Juliet Smith and friends and family.
Chief Superintendent Di Roskilly, East Sussex Divisional Commander, said: “I was humbled by the actions of each of the award winners, and they should be really proud of their achievements. All have demonstrated exceptional professionalism and rose to the challenges they faced.
“Protecting the vulnerable members within our communities and catching criminals remains a priority within East Division and these awards reflect this admirably.
“It was fantastic to see members of the community we serve recognised for their outstanding actions to prevent crime from taking place.
“Also it was great to be able to recognise the work of some of our partners who have supported us in the delivery of services to our communities.”
