FAMOUS crime writer Peter James will judge best in show at Seaford Fun Dog Show on Saturday August 27.

The event will feature lots of fun activities and is being organised by Seaford Dog Rescue to raise funds for its work.

It will take place from 10am to 4pm at the Martello Fields in the Esplanade.

Visitors will be able to enter their dogs in categories on the day, which also includes a fancy dress category.

Visitors can also look forward to bouncy castles, flyball, a raffle and tombola, as well as pony rides, food and drink.

Author Peter James will do a book signing and this year’s Crufts champion will be at the event too.

One of the organisers Lucy Dunk said: “We are always looking for help with fostering.”

Dogs are either looked after by Lucy and Sue Philips at home or by volunteers who offer to foster a dog until the dogs are found a new home.

The charity only began last November but is helping around three to four dogs a week and since November they have helped around 40 dogs.

The event is designed to raise money and awareness.
