Police in Arun are warning car owners to local their vehicles securely and not to leave valuables on display following a spate of break-ins in the area.
The offences have taken place over the last few weeks in the Rustington, East Preston, Angmering, Ferring, Arundel and Littlehampton areas of Arun. In the last 29 days there have been 26 offences committed.
Local Police Community Support Officer Hannah Pearson said: “The offences are generally happening in the early hours of the morning and 5am. It is mainly sat-navs that are being stolen, but other property has also been taken including mobile phones and tools.
“This is a timely reminder to motorists to make sure their cars are securely locked at all times and to never leave valuables of any kind on display.”
