RURAL CRIME continues with a break in to a locked tractor shed on Peeps Lane, Rotherfield between August 20-22 where locks on a tractor were hacked off.

More locks were damaged when thieves tried to break in to a shed on Cottage Hill, Rotherfield between August 18-22. Nothing appeared to have been taken but the owners are concerned that their dog might have been poisoned earlier in the week. The family’s vet could not confirm what sort of poison was used.

Police say that some time over the last two weeks a property on Chapel Lane, Forest Row was broken into and jewellery stolen and a wallet, mobile phone and motorbike were stolen during two break ins at Groombridge.
