‘No motive’ for theft of dogs

THREE DOGS were stolen – and are still missing – after thieves targeted a farm.

The theft happened at Oxendean Farm in Jevington sometime between 5.45pm on November 25 and 9am the next day.

Police said the padlocks on kennels were cut and two bitch terriers, and a bitch lurcher, were taken.

A Sussex Police spokesman said: “Enquiries have been locally but no trace has been found of the dogs and the motive for the theft is not known.

“This appears to be an isolated incident in the area and we have no other recent reports of burglaries or thefts of animals locally.”
