Police have released this CCTV image of a man they wish to trace in relation to an attempted burglary in Peacehaven.

On Sunday 15 February 15 at about 9pm a man was seen to walk onto a driveway of a house in Horsham Avenue North.

He tried the handle on the garage door and then picked up a brick which was stacked by the garage before putting it back down.

He then tried to open the key safe on the side of the house.

Nothing was stolen.

The man is described as white, aged between 20 and 30, of medium build, short dark hair and was wearing a white long sleeved round necked t-shirt with buttons up to the neck, jeans, a dark shoes, and a flat light coloured hat which was turned to the side.

He had a Puma sports bag with a black strap across his body.

PC Louise Barkaway said: “We need to trace this man who was acting suspiciously.

“If you recognise him or have any information about this attempted break-in, then contact police.”
