Cycle Seahaven this week welcomed news the cycle lane under Bishopstone Bridge was now usable, although it has not yet been officially opened.

The group said this was a very much needed link between the Ouse Estuary Trail and the cycle lane on Seaford seafront.

It explained the path meant it was now possible for families and beginners to cycle safely from Edinburgh Road in Seaford to Newhaven town.

Andy Lock from Cycle Seahaven said: “Cycle Seahaven campaigned for three years to get this done and East Sussex County Council have done a fantastic job.”
