Prime Minister David Cameron visited Peacehaven this morning (Monday March 24) for a question and answer session at the Meridian Centre following the recent Budget.
He spoke about the measures in the Budget to help savers and pensioners but also took questions on other issues.
More than 100 people were packed into the venue in Meridian Way to quiz the Prime Minister.
Brighton Kemptown and Peacehaven MP Simon Kirby said: “Peacehaven is a great place and I am delighted to have been able to bring the Prime Minister here to meet local residents.
“The Budget contained some great policies to help pensioners and savers, amongst many other groups, and it was great to hear him explain in more detail exactly what these changes will mean for people here in Brighton Kemptown and Peacehaven. “I was particularly pleased that the audience were given an opportunity to ask questions of the Prime Minister.
“I also took the opportunity of having the Prime Minister in the constituency to highlight, again, my campaign for the funding for a new hospital.”
