“Sprechen Sie Deutsch?” is the question Seaford Twinners are asking residents as they start a new venture.
They are launching German Conversation Evenings at the White Lion pub in Belgrave Road in March.
The twinning group, which has a twin town Bönningstedt in Germany, is calling on all those who enjoy chatting in German to meet to enjoy an evening with a bar on hand and pub food available.
Whether you are from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, northern Italy; or whether you learned German at school, in evening classes, or in the Forces, this is an opportunity to practise.
There is no charge to attend this first meeting, which is in the function room at the White Lion from 7pm on Monday March 4.
No need to book, just turn up. Future events will be in evenings, or daytime, as supporters decide.
As with all Seaford Twinning events, there will be a raffle. Seaford’s Twinners will also have information about visits to and from northern Germany.
On Saturday March 9 there will be a skittles outing with a hot buffet lunch at the Royal Oak, Barcombe, starting at 11am and costing £11. Places can be booked by phoning Garry on 01424 201610.
To join call Liz on 01323 896315.
