A traditional day of donkey races, stalls and fun fair rides awaits visitors to Seaford on Bank Holiday Monday (August 26).
Seaford Donkey Derby will be attracting the crowds from far and wide, with thousands of people expected to attend.
Seaford mayor Anthony White will open the event at the Martello Fields at 12.30pm and it should finish at 4.30pm.
Attractions will include seven donkey races with the first race at 1pm, donkey rides, a fun fair, Punch and Judy, birds of prey, live music, plate smash, beer tent, ice cream and more than 30 stalls.
The annual event is organised by Newhaven Peacehaven and Seaford Lions Club and raises money for local good causes, organisations, families in need and the elderly. It is one of the Lions’ biggest fundraisers and could generate £5,000.
