PEACEHAVEN Youth Football Club received a £500 donation from the James Daniels Memorial Trust to fund their new football kits.
The group had been struggling to attract sponsorship for a new kit for the coming season and applied to the charity.
Sean McFadden from Peacehaven Youth Football Club said: “Without this money the boys would not have had a new kit this year, as the old kit was two years old and they had all grown out of it. It will make a massive difference to our season because if the boys look good they are more confident and so play better. They could not be happier with their new kit and would like to thank Mr Daniels’ family and his late son James for their generosity.”
The club had a successful season last year, won their league and were promoted to division one.
They also won tournaments over the summer and were semi finalists in the county cup.
Sean added: “As a community team we are also on the look out for new players and all are welcome.”
