Police are appealing for witnesses after a two-car crash on the A27 near Pevensey.

Police say two cars, a silver Ford and a silver Citroen, collided with each other between the Wallsend roundabout and the Dittons Road roundabout at around 5.05pm on Sunday (May 29).

The driver of the Ford, a 24-year-old man from St Leonards, and the driver of the Citroen, a 26-year-old woman from Bexhill, both suffered minor injuries.

A third car, thought to be a black Mercedes, was also involved although it did not collide with any other vehicle.

PC Mark Swift said: “We would like to speak with anyone who saw the collision and in particular the driver of this third vehicle which did not stop at the scene.

“Witnesses can email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101 quoting reference 1202 of 29/05.”
