THE DUCHESS of Gloucester thrilled crowds with a special visit to Herstmonceux Castle.
Her Royal Highness visited the castle to witness the 20th anniversary of the ‘Safety in Action’ project.

Wealden District Council organised the day and received a special accreditation from the Royal Society of the Prevention of Accidents.
Cllr Johanna Howell said the district council was thrilled that the Duchess visited the children.
Schools were recognised for their ‘Safety in Action’ abilities and will be presented with awards on July 8.
Winners were: Mayfield C of E Primary School (first prize); St Mary The Virgin C of E Primary School in Hartfield (road safety); Herstmonceux C of E Primary School (police) and Willingdon Primary School (fire safety).
