Eastbourne salon owner and property developer Jason Burrill was crowned the winner of Big Brother 2016 last night (Tuesday).

The 45-year-old, who owns Blue in South Street, another salon in Hastings and also works as a body double in films, claimed the grand prize of £90,000 after 50 days in the house.

Jason told the presenter of the Channel Five show Emma Willis he was completely over-awed at his win and admitted he never thought he’d make it to the final.

He said, “I didn’t think I would be here from day one.

“I’m not a man of many words, but I just can’t explain the feeling of winning.”

Jason said he had been pushed to the edge after one of his ex-girlfriends was also a contestant in the Big Brother House.

He also said that losing control over his life during his time in the house had been the most difficult aspect.

“We’re playing a game that no one knows is going to happen in the next five minutes,” he said.

“On the outside you have control of your own life, you have no control and that’s the frustrating bit.”

Jason hopes to make acting his day job,

He has already worked alongside Danniella Westbrook in one movie - Essex Vendetta - playing the part of Vincent’s henchman.

He was also cast as Dave Bautista’s body double in Spectre and Guardians of the Galaxy.

He is originally from Seaford.
