The estranged wife of former daredevil stuntman Eddie Kidd pleaded not guilty to six counts of assault by beating at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday January 9.

Mrs Kidd, 44, of High Street Seaford, has been charged with beating Mr Kidd last year on July 7 in Cumbria, between July 20 and July 23 in Peacehaven, on July 26 in Southampton, between July 8 and August 10 in Peacehaven, between September 1 and October 8 in Peacehaven, and between October 1 and October 25 in Peacehaven.

District Judge Stephen Nicholls said she will stand trial at Brighton Magistrates’ Court from July 9-10.

Mrs Kidd, a former model and actress, was given bail on the condition she is not to directly or indirectly contact Mr Kidd and she is not to visit his property in Peacehaven, except on one occasion to collect her belongings with a police officer.

Mr Kidd, 53, was paralysed and brain damaged following a motorbike crash in 1996.
