An education leader is preparing to face a grilling from Hastings Observer readers.

Mark Phillips, regional director of Ark’s secondary schools in Hastings – Ark William Parker Academy and Helenswood Academy – has agreed to answer readers’ questions on anything from how to apply to schools to maintaining discipline.

Questions could be from students worried about exams or parents who want to know more about Ark.

Readers have just over two weeks to submit their questions via www.facebook.com/hastingsobserver, by tweeting @HastingsObs using the hashtag #AsktheHead or emailing sheena.campbell@jpress.co.uk with the subject line ‘Ask the Head’.

Alternatively, send them to Hastings Observer, Woods House, Telford Road, Hastings, TN38 9LZ.

All questions should be received by 5pm on Thursday, June 11.

We will then put them to Mr Phillips and the questions – and answers – will be published in the Observer.

Originally a history teacher, Mr Phillips has been a head teacher in Hastings for the last two years.
