Exam achievements are ‘thoroughly deserved’

SIXTH form students at Uckfield Community Technology College are celebrating an excellent set of AS and A Level results.

A Level students have performed exceptionally well, with more than three-quarters of all entries awarded the top A*-C grades. Eight students achieved straight A* and A grades in all subjects.

Tom Minney has a place to read Mathematics at Oxford. Three students, Tom Bedwell, Henry Greenslade and Alison Hallett, will be studying Medicine. The vast majority of students have secured places at university.

Deputy Principal Geoff Evans was delighted with the results and paid tribute to “a fantastically hard-working cohort of students who thoroughly deserve their success”.

He said: “What is especially pleasing this year is the number of students who have won university places in a year where competition is particularly fierce.”
