The hills were alive with The Sound of Music as pupils at Lewes Old Grammar School performed the famous musical in a three night run which began on Tuesday May 19.

More than 50 youngsters from the school marked 50 years since Julie Andrews first climbed those famous mountains as Maria. It was directed by Rachel Munro.

The school, which is based in the High Street, said it was the most challenging production it had ever staged.
