EIGHT FIRE engines rushed to tackle a fire at two linked industrial units last night, May 30.
The fire happened at an industrial site around 7pm off Bern Lane in Chiddingly.
One-in-seven foam was used to put out the flames along with jets.
Some cylinders at the location caused concern but were not affected, said a spokeswoman for East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing but it is not believed to have been deliberate.
Fire crews attended the scene from Hailsham, Herstmonceux,Heathfield, Eastbourne, Seaford, Mayfield, Lewes and Pevensey.
A water bowser appliance from Uckfield was also used.
No one is believed to have been hurt in the blaze.
