Elderly woman suffers serious injuries after collision with car in Willingdon

Police are appealing for witnesses after an elderly woman pedestrian was seriously injured in a collision in Willingdon.

The incident happened at The Triangle in Willingdon on Monday (September 22).

The 95-year-old pedestrian from Willingdon suffered life threatening head and leg injuries and was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, in Brighton, police said.

The driver of the Vauxhall Astra involved, a 47-year-old man from Willingdon, suffered shock, police said.

The collision happened at 10.32am.
