SEAFORD Afternoon Flower Club celebrated its Emerald Anniversary with a party and cake at St Luke’s Church on Thursday April 19.
There was also a demonstration of flower arranging, which these days, explained club secretary Rosemary Court, was more like an art form and certainly not old fashioned.
The group meets on the third Thursday of every month at St Luke’s Church in Walmer Road, Seaford.
And of course it’s not all about flowers - it’s an opportunity to socialise.
The group also raises money for a chosen charity each year - this year it’s Hearing Dogs for the Deaf.
Anyone interested in finding out more about the group is welcome to drop in and see for themselves. Call Rosemary on 01323 492966.
