Emergency services called to Hailsham collision

Emergency services were called to Hailsham after a collision between a van and a car.

The crash took place on the B2104 Ersham Road at around 4.30pm on Tuesday (August 23).

The car driver, a 52-year-old Hailsham woman, was treated at Eastbourne District General Hospital for a rib injury but was later discharged.

A 69-year-old Eastbourne man, who was driving the van was also taken to the hospital, just to be checked over, and had sustained no injury.

The road was briefly closed in both directions at Sayerland Lane because of the incident.
