Exciting line-up of speakers for Seedy Saturday in Lewes

SEEDY Saturday organisers are thrilled at the exciting line-up of speakers on offer tomorrow (Saturday) at Lewes Town Hall (10am-3pm).

James Wong, of BBC TV series “Grow Your Own Drugs”, will be revealing how people can grow exotic plants from wasabi and watercress to sweet potatoes and Szechuan peppers in their own back garden.

Kate Gold, from the Millennium Seed Bank, will be talking about the UK Native Seed Hub and James Greyson and Craig Sams, founder of Green and Black’s chocolate, will be talking about Biochar – the hot topic in soil improver that people can make at home and is currently being used overseas in many successful projects.

Seedy Saturday organisers are also pleased to have two people from Brighton Permaculture Trust to deliver practical talks about Permaculture design and the Sussex Apple project which is working to re-introduce near extinct heritage Sussex apple varieties.
