The Ringmer Village Summer Fair, blessed by glorious sunshine, proved a triumph.
Stalls and activities helped to raise £2,658 for the Village Hall Building Appeal.
Regular hall user groups put on fundraising activities and shared or donated all their proceeds. In addition there were stalls selling artwork, hand-crafted goods, knitted soft toys and greeting cards. Ringmer Country Market sold its own produce, while the drama society’s ‘human fruit machine’ kept all ages amused.
The grand draw had 16 donated prizes, including tickets for Glyndebourne, meals from both The Cock and The Green Man and a free gliding lesson from the East Sussex Gliding Club. Goldcliff Nursery provided a large planted pot and the bowls club donated six bottles of wine.
