FAMILY SUPPORT WORK (FSW), a local charity, has invited residents to sign up for its annual sponsored Easter Walk and help raise much needed funds for its work with Sussex families in crisis.
The sponsored event, taking place on Easter Monday (April 9), will follow a seven mile circular route from Alfriston via Wilmington, starting at 9.30am outside Alfriston Memorial Hall, and is open to all ages and ‘walks of life’ – from children to adults and dogs.
Maggie Simons, FSW director, said: “Now in its 24rd year our annual Easter Walk has already raised over £120,000 to help Sussex families facing difficult times to rebuild their lives and move on.”
The money raised gives families in Sussex practical advice and emotional support, as well as short breaks in the welcoming environment of the Knowles Tooth Children’s Centre in Hurstpierpoint.
