Take a bunch of Lewes Bonfire boys and girls, add some great songs and a dash of cross-dressing – high heels, basques and fishnet stockings – and you’ve got the recipe for a night that’s bound to go with a bang!
Cliffe Bonfire Society is hosting a special screening of the classic Rocky Horror Picture Show on Saturday, February 15, at Lewes Little Theatre, Lancaster Street.
All are welcome, and appropriately debauched fancy dress is encouraged – there’s a prize for the best outfit.
For those who want to put a little extra into their Riff-Raff or Frank N. Furter outfit, Revamp Fancy Dress in Sydney Street, Brighton, is offering a 10 per cent discount until February 15.
To get this special offer, mention ’Cliffe discount’ before you buy: size 10 stiletto heels and men’s fishnets are in stock.
The film, made in 1975 for a budget of under £1m is almost certainly the longest-running release ever.
It has a huge following and has taken more than £105m at box offices around the world.
On the 15th, as always when the film is shown, audience participation will be a big part of the fun.
Doors open at 7pm and tickets – £9 in advance, £10 on the door and including a free cocktail – are now on sale at Goldfinchs Dry Cleaners, 14 Cliffe High Street, or contact Sarah Clowes on firstname.lastname@example.org
