Fete with long history – and great prizes

Guest of honour at the forthcoming Glynde and Beddingham Flower Show and Fete will be the new Chairman of Lewes District Council, Cllr Michael Chartier.

He will be opening the 145th show in the village on August 10, as well as judging the children’s fancy dress parade.

Food critic and writer Andrew Kay, Creative Director of Latest magazine in Brighton, will be joining the panel of judges in the home-made food and wine section.

There are some fantastic raffle prizes this year, including tickets to Plumpton Racecourse and Charleston Farmhouse, a signed copy of Not Dead Yet by award-winning local author Peter James and vouchers for Darcey Sussex Boutiques, Bill’s, The Flint Owl Bakery, The Trevor Arms in Glynde and Paradise Park in Newhaven.
