Children from four primary schools joined Ore in Bloom’s Field-to-Fork Day at Fairlight Hall last Wednesday (September 22), with more than 160 pupils taking part.
Morag Hutchinson, from Fairlight Hall, said: “Our fourth year is the most successful to date with children participating in the Great Roast Dinner Hunt as in previous years but also introducing new quizzes such as identifying poisonous and edible mushrooms. The object is to teach children how food reaches their dinner table and the importance of rearing and caring for livestock. This gives them a greater understanding of the process. We would to thank volunteers, teachers and staff for their participation.”
