Fire service staff injured in Wealden collision

Police are appealing for information after an East Sussex Fire and Rescue was injured at an accident scene.

Emergency services were called to a separate collision between two vehicles, a silver Vauxhall Agila and a grey Vauxhall Mokka at 11.08am on Thursday (August 4) on the B2026 at Duddleswell.

A passing member of ESFRS staff in a service vehicle assisted at the incident, he was not a firefighter or part of the operational team mobilised to the incident. He was speaking to a potential witness to the collision. However they left the scene and collided with the officer's foot causing them an injury.

PC Matt Harman said: "We believe this vehicle was a 4 x 4 and had a trailer attached to the back. We would like to speak to the driver, if this was you or you have any information about this vehicle please get in touch."
