Volunteers will be at Sainsbury’s in St Leonards on Saturday (December 20) and Sunday, December 21, helping to pack bags in support of the Dragonflies project.
The scheme which helps local children and young people aged five to 18, who are experiencing bereavement gain the support they need to cope with their loss. More than 1,300 children and young people so far have been helped following the death of someone close to them.
Volunteers are giving up their time from 10am to 4pm on both days, in order to make a difference this Christmas to those children living in the Hastings area, who have lost a parent, sibling, close relative or friend. All money raised will go to providing free specialist bereavement support. This includes therapeutic activities, family events and group sessions. Dragonflies is a project of the Fellowship of St Nicholas. For more information contact Lesley Brown on 01424 438254 or email email@example.com.
