Funfair could be part of Jubilee celebrations in Polegate

THE QUEEN’S Jubillee celebrations in Polegate this Summer could see a small family funfair set up at Polegate War Memorial Recreation Ground.

The idea was touted at a full town council meeting at the end of January. All councillors present voted in favour of the proposal after a thorough discussion.

Some details will need to be arranged by the council committee in charge of the celebrations such as checking ‘restrictive tonnages are not exceeded’, according to a council document.

The town clerk will also check the relevant insurances are all in order.

Others ways to celebrate the big royal event are still being discussed by a town councillors’ group.
